ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Join Richard Martin and Anna Morgan for an unforgettable experience in Tofino, on the traditional territories of the Tla-o-qui-aht and Ahousaht First Nations. Here, the ancient rainforest meets the Pacific Ocean, where towering cedars, wave-carved shorelines, and ever-changing coastal light create a landscape of extraordinary beauty and inspiration.
Imagine yourself immersed in this place where you can live photography for six days, virtually free from the distractions of the outside world. This workshop is more than an opportunity to visit a remarkable landscape - it is a chance to slow down, be present, and focus on your photography with the freedom to play, experiment, and be adventurous. Whether you're interested in developing your own visual style, strengthening your technical skills, or exploring the creative process more deeply, the workshop is designed to provide inspiration and help transform the way you see.
OUR WORKSHOP PHILOSOPHY
Throughout the workshop, we encourage a mindful approach to both photography and place. Rather than searching for what you expect to see, you'll be invited to allow the landscape to reveal its own genuine spirit. Slow down. Be patient. Never be satisfied with your first view of a place or the first frame you make. Have confidence in your own vision, let your photographs reflect your personal experiences rather than simply imitating what you've seen elsewhere, and remain open to the unexpected opportunities and serendipitous moments that often become the most meaningful images.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer, you'll find a supportive environment where you can explore your creativity without judgement while exchanging ideas and sharing your enthusiasm with others who are equally immersed in photography. Time together as a group becomes both a visual and emotional journey - a chance to step away from daily routines, renew creative energy, and gain fresh perspective. You'll be encouraged to develop your own way of seeing and expressing yourself, with guidance that supports personal discovery rather than imposing a particular style. Our hope is that you'll return home with greater confidence, renewed creative energy and a deeper connection to both photography and place.
