Psychedelia

I did not set out to create an image that conveys a psychedelic experience but the strong contrasts seem to distort the image in such a way that it feels you are drawn into it with an altered state of consciousness. Interestingly, there has been a recent resurgence in psychedelic research exploring the use of psilocybin, a naturally occurring compound found in many fungi, particularly for use in conditions such as treatment-resistant depression.
