Fast moving water in an alpine creek in the Eastern Sierra glistens in the midday sun creating wonderful patterns on its surface

Be the Light

Eastern Sierra

Where midday sun meets the cold running water of an alpine creek, magic is created. This image was inspired by Amanda Gorman's poem, 'The Hill we Climb'. The last lines read:

...The new dawn blooms as we free it.
For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it. Photo © copyright by Anna Morgan.
