The Mountains

On a clear day, the views from the area I call home look out over the Coastal Mountains of British Columbia to the North and to Mt Baker and the North Cascades in the South. These mountain ranges are imposing and rugged, punctuated by glaciated valleys and alpine lakes. Mountains give me a feeling of reverence and also a sense of coming home. Defined so clearly by the seasons, alpine landscapes present different photographic opportunities throughout the year.
